Putting together an event the size of World definitely has its challenging moments, but seeing the end result—attendees having a good time together, learning new things about ESPRIT, and feeling excited to go back to work—makes it all worthwhileCatalin Kreis, Event Manager
If you’ve joined us for ESPRIT World in the last couple of years, you’ve witnessed the work of Catalin Kreis, our marketing project manager. Although World is held in the summer, Cat works hard on it all year, barely taking a break after one event before laying the groundwork for the next.
Bringing World to life is a group effort, and in the coming weeks we’ll introduce other members of the team who help make it happen. But without Catalin’s impeccable eye for detail, World simply wouldn’t be the incredible event it is today.
“Putting together an event the size of World definitely has its challenging moments, but seeing the end result—attendees having a good time together, learning new things about ESPRIT, and feeling excited to go back to work—makes it all worthwhile,” says Cat.
In addition to handling the logistics before, during, and after the event, Cat also implements and manages registration, the sponsor and partner program, and the special events associated with World, like sports night.
What do those responsibilities look like? A lot of phone calls—and a lot of spreadsheets. That’s in addition to Cat’s normal duties as a project manager, keeping the day-to-day operations of ESPRIT’s marketing department running smoothly.
Catalin's Bernese mountain dog, Riley Jane
Cat has been with DP since 2015, and her longevity and institutional knowledge make her a pillar of the marketing department. Although she’s technically working when you see her at ESPRIT World, attendees can always rely on Cat for smart, straightforward help—whether you need directions to a particular class or want to know what to wear to sports night.
A native California girl, Catalin was named for Catalina Island, where her parents met. When she’s not crossing Ts and dotting Is at work, she’s probably wrangling her Bernese mountain dog, Riley Jane, hanging out at the beach, hiking, or planning her next vacation. When you see her at World, don’t forget to thank her for her tireless work.
